DYNAMIC LINKING
The Second Payment Services Directive (<a href="/glossarycollection/the-second-payment-services-directive" style="color:#48277C;" target="_blank" title="The Second Payment Services Directive"><u>PSD2</u></a>) introduced the concept of dynamic linking during Strong Customer Authentication (<a href="/glossarycollection/strong-customer-authentication" style="color:#48277C;" target="_blank" title="Strong Customer Authentication"><u>SCA</u></a>). It is the process which links authentication tokens to a specific payment amount and payee of a transaction. If the amount or payee changes, a new token needs to be generated and used - hence the dynamic reference.
