What is the significance of needing to offer the equivalent customer experience on your Open Banking interface as on your direct payment service internet channel?

Any of the authentication mechanisms that you offer on your direct channel, you will also need to offer to Third-Party Providers (<a href="/glossarycollection/third-party-provider" style="color:#48277C;" target="_blank" title="Third-Party Provider"><u>TPP</u></a>) which use your Open Banking interface.<br/><br/>

This means that if you offer a mobile banking app with biometric authentication to your account holders you must:<br/><br/>

a) allow your TPPs to redirect from their own app to your app;<br/><br/>

and,<br/><br/>

b) allow them to complete authentication using a secure biometric authentication capability that you either provide or trust.
