What are the Payment Services Regulations (2017)?

The Payment Service Regulations (2017) replaced the Payment Services Regulations (2009) which set out the rules for all providers of payment services in the United Kingdom. The 2017 regulations brought European payments law under the Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) into UK law. The Financial Conduct Authority (<a href="/glossarycollection/financial-conduct-authority" style="color:#48277C;" target="_blank" title="Financial Conduct Authority"><u>FCA</u></a>) is the regulator for this regime.
